Never before have the opportunities to watch wild deer been better in Britain. In some counties five of the six free-living species can be seen, sometimes four in just one wood. Even withouth ‘walking on the wild side’ there are opportunities to watch one, two or sometimes three species – Fallow, Red and Sika – in deer parks. In these semi-natural surroundings the deer can be viewed with ease, providing excellent opportunities to become familiar with their appearance and behaviour.
