"My colleague John Bratton, whose book, excitingly entitled Invertebrates Other Than Insects, was reviewed in the December issue, has come up with a useful scheme to combat the epidemic of tree-planting that blights this unfortunate land. Called Conservationists Against Tree Planting, or CAT-P for short, it enables the right sort of person to wear a badge depicting a tabby cat with its leg cocked against a sapling. 'CAT-P is here to take the pith out of plantations', points out John."
