"Back in October there were reports in the press of a Short-snouted Seahorse Hippocampus hippocampus being found in the Thames and greenwich. It was a juvenile, which suggests that these seahorses are breeding nearby, and have therefore been extending their range. I shall never see a seahorse in the wild, but not many people have, if only because seahorses are small, sedentary and superbly camouflaged."
