Over a decade ago, Butterfly Conservation staff published in British Wildlife a review of the conservation efforts to save the Marsh Fritillary Euphydryas aurinia in Britain (Hobson et al. 2002). Here, we report on three case studies that show how we ‘stepped up’ our efforts and achieved some promising results for this threatened species.
